Sir,

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

bras 17 68 10,

HONGKONG.

10th December 1909.

I have the honour to renew my application for transfer with promotion forwarded in Governors despatch

No. 224 of 21.9.06.

It is anticipated that the two important works

will be completed about the end of 1910 or early in the

following year,

I would ask that the Government consider my

past services and to use their influence with the Colonial

office in view of advancing my claim for promotion. I feel

sure that my record after ten years faithful and conscien-

tous service is such as to qualify me for any position

where experience and capability are requiæred.

-

May I be allowed to again ask that in the event

of there being no appointment at the Colonial Office for

the Home Government to draw the attention of the India

Uffice, Home office or office of Works to my application

in view of the possibility of there being vacancies in

these departments for which my qualifications would render

me a suitable candidate.

I have the honour to be,

To:-

Hon. Mr P.N.H.Jones.

D.P.W.

Sir,

Yours obediently,

(ad) H.G.Fisher.
